Experimental Type (Ways of Questioning)
This assignment required me to question the objects I interact with in my daily routines and what they mean to me. By choosing certain objects and determining their significance, I created five experimental typefaces.
From my morning coffee routine to brushing my hair, all five of these experiments in type represent daily routine. Texture also comes in to play, inviting the viewer to imagine what each object feels like.
Investigating the mundane actions of my life encouraged a reflection on my own presence. Specifically, where my routines and habits came from. Most originating from my parents.
