The Write Type
The Write Type is a branch of my explorations in experimental type/questioning. Through my fascination of postcards, history and handwriting I was able to give the alphabet different personalities and backgrounds.
I really enjoyed the process of creating this project. Flipping through piles and piles of postcards archived at BGSU’s Pop Culture library allowed me to gather plentiful handwriting samples; no two were the same.
Each sample showing a characteristic or quirk to that individual. The goal of this study was to give type personality and humanity. “The Write Type” not being actually typed — but written with purpose.
