The Write Type
The Write Type is a branch of my explorations in experimental type/questioning. Through my fascination of postcards, history and handwriting I was able to give the alphabet different personalities and backgrounds.
I really enjoyed the process of creating this project. Flipping through piles and piles of postcards archived at BGSU’s Pop Culture library allowed me to gather plentiful handwriting samples. No two being the same.
Each sample showing a characteristic or quirk to that individual. The goal of this study was to give type personality and humanity. “The Write Type” not being actually typed but written with purpose.
